The renovated woodshed lies discretely between an old wall and a demolished farmhouse. Don't be disappointed by the appearance, the surprise is inside! This gîte (French word for holiday house) is intimate and at the end of the garden flows the Loison.
This gîte is characterized for its warm appearance due to the natural materials which have been used to restore it like the local oak wood, the French natural stone, the earthly colours, wooden beams, walls of moellons (local limestone), freestone floor, an impressive fireplace and the large freestone countertop with wash basin in the kitchen.
The home radiates warmth and comfort and in the winter it is heated with a woodstove which spreads a special warmth throughout the house. This way of heating is a custom with the local inhabitants. In the area of the Meuse the woodstove is still the most used method to warm the house in the winter and finally, it is the law that regulates the "right to wood".
On the ground floor is the living area with an alcove and upstairs is the bathroom and cozy bedroom with its lovely view on green fields and hills with trees. Perfect!
Outside there is a private terrace with a 100m² garden bordering with the Loison.
A baby bed and highchair can be arranged.
The dog is also welcome!
